<p>In 2007, she won the CBI First Women Award for Technology. In 2006, she was a top five finalist in Britain’s Best Boss awards and received a special commendation.  </p>
<p>Lesley is an elected Council Member of the Country Code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, The Institute of Credit Management and The Chartered Management Institute.  </p>
<p>Lesley is a Trustee of the Nominet Trust and the Jenner Hall charity. She has an MBA, with distinction.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Noshir Contractor is the Jane S. &amp; William J. White Professor of Behavioral Sciences and the Director of the Science of Networks in Communities (SONIC) Research Group at Northwestern University, USA. He is investigating factors that lead to the formation, maintenance, and dissolution of dynamically linked social and knowledge networks. His research program has been funded continuously for 15 years by major grants from the U.S. National Science Foundation with additional current funding from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), Air Force Research Lab, Army Research Institute, Army Research Lab and the MacArthur Foundation.</p>
<p>Professor Contractor’s book titled <em>Theories of Communication Networks</em> (co-authored with Professor Peter Monge, published by Oxford University Press, and translated into Chinese in 2010) received the 2003 Book of the Year award from the Organizational Communication Division of the National Communication Association. He is the lead developer of C-IKNOW (Cyberinfrastructure for Inquiring Knowledge Networks On the Web), a socio-technical environment to understand and enable networks among communities, as well as Blanche, a software environment to simulate the dynamics of social networks. Professor Contractor has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and a PhD from the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California.</p>

<p>Prior  to joining The Else Institute, Dr. Murthy was the Director of Applied  Research at Wipro Technologies. Before that, he founded and operated a  software-engineering business in Portland, Oregon, and prior to that,  architected software for international trade finance.</p>
<p>Dr. Murthy has  taught undergraduate and graduate classes in data management at the  Oregon Health &amp; Science University; and software engineering at the  Oregon Institute of Technology.</p>
<p>Dr. Murthy has a  PhD from the Portland State University and a Masters from the Oregon  Graduate Institute. His current research interests include database  systems, programming languages, software engineering, web science, and  service science.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mike Galvin is one of the UK’s internet pioneers.  For 10 years from the mid 90s, Mike was Internet Operations manager for BT; during this period BT became the largest UK ISP.  He believes passionately in the internet as a tool to make people’s lives better and as an instrument to break down barriers, attack inequality of opportunity and drive economic growth.</p>
<p>Mike has been responsible for a number of initiatives including BT’s contribution to the formation of the Internet Watch Foundation, and the subsequent development of industry wide policies for dealing with internet abuses and crime as well as BT Vision, BT’s internet television solution.  He has a drive to protect internet users and is particularly well known for proposing and implementing BT’s Cleanfeed initiative in 2004.</p>
<p>Mike presently heads the ‘Right First Time Initiative‘ covering customer experience and leads on Research and Innovation.   These responsbilities cover the experience customers receive from BT globally, information technology and platform security, BT’s Voice strategy and process architecture.  Mike is a director for sustainability and additionally is the company lead on child protection on the internet.</p>
